Hi All:
Since this, past Summer I have been experiencing 'severe dizziness' and 'nasea,' once awhile. This episode occurs after feeling slight-headache.
On this, I went to 'Ear Specialist,' as suspecting that my inner ear has some problem. However, the doctor ruled out not any issues inside my ear, as rx'ed 'Meclizine 12.5 mg. ... take one tablet three times a day. However, this med. seems only temperary relief, not permanent relief for which I am looking.
Also, he told me that sometime catching-cold triggers this, 'dizziness,' however in the past, I had one, ... but not this magnitude of dizziness that made me feel whirl-swirl feeling, like someone lifting me in the air very rapidly. After laying down on the couch for about 45 minutes and vomitting some, I feel somehow OK, but still not perfect feeling.
This, severe dizziness and naseaous feelings does not occur often, three times since this, past summer, however this still makes me scared to the death, as thinking of the time when I need to drive. # of episodes do not matter to me, as seeing 'severity' of dizziness I have been going through.
Could this, severe dizziness and nausea be something related to neurological problem? In the past, I had 'mild tremor' after my cataract surgery. Then, I may have some sort of neuro. problem? My blood pressure is not perfect but not manageable. I am in my late '50, heading for 60 soon. Otherwise, I am healthy, both physically and mentally.
Thanks for any inputs on this regard.
