I'm taking a generic (Low-Ogestrel). The side effects I've experienced have been:
- Something similar to a period for the entire first month.
- Significant weight gain due to water retention.
- Nausea for the first few weeks, but if I took it in the evening I would be fine because I'd sleep through the nauseaus part.
- Occassional lack of a period during the placebo week.
All of these are common and most generally not a sign of a problem. Your pills should have come with an info sheet telling you what to expect.
Low dose pills, like what I'm taking, are good because of the lesser side effects and mess with your natural hormones less too.
