Hi all,
I have a dear friend who is suffering badly from atrial fibrillation that's required several runs to the hospital and even a couple "stop and shocks."
He was getting good control with coumadin, sotalol AND Lotrel (seems to me like a LOT of the same type meds).
Anyhoo, he's starting to "break through" and fibrillate even with this load of drugs.
Anything not too invasive in "cutting edge":D technology on the horizon like radio ablation, perhaps? Any OTHER drug types than beta-blockers. Do calcium channel blockers have much effect on a-fib?
Personally, I've had only two bouts myself (over 250 BPM)...one drug induced (epinephrine). That was 2 bouts too many, I hope I never get another. Both were decades ago so I guess I'm aok!
