I have been taking 20mg of Lotensin Benzaphril(sp?) for about 3 months now.. And 50 mg of Atenolol for a few years. The Lotensin worked wonders when I first started taking it.. and it still works, however when I'm sitting and I take it numerous times I notice the following in the pressure: Most times it is 125/55-80 and other times it is 135-145/55-80. I am 17 and overweight, but I am now working on changing my weight... Should I be worried with being as young as 17 and being on two medications? And is my blood pressure elevating a bit every now and then cause for concern? Also, I take 50 mg of Zoloft...

Your blood pressure looks like it manageable if you lost weight and exercised. At a young age you should be doing everything to not take meds for any condition unless their is no other way. Meds help the problem but always with side effects. Also I'm sure long term meds change the body chemistry.
