   Lodine anyone? (Arthritis board)

20th August 2004
I'm on workmans comp permanently and they won't pay for Mobic, Vioxx bextra etc, just the cheaper stuff. My rheumy has prescribed it to me in the past and my hubby's insurance picks it up but now that I'm on wc they won't pay for it. So far the Lodine hasn't done much and my Dr is trying to get wc to ok mobic as it is one of the few drugs I can take. Bextra I've not tried tho. Lodine is suppose to be in the same family as mobic I guess.

I've been on Lodine for more yrs than I can remember..(maybe over 10 yrs) b4 it went generic. I asked my Dr for something 'better' as my hands had gotten worse. He put me on a med that had just went generic, spose to be a generation better than Lodine, well it didnt work as well for me & I went back to Lodine. Dont you just hate INSURANCE trying to tell Drs what you need for pain control.

I can't believe anyone can take Lodine! Surprise to me. Everyone I know in my family took one pill, felt like a fire bomb went off in their stomach  , and then took three days to get over it. We all threw it away. Big trouble. But, hey - if it worked for some, it might be worth a try - get the dr. to give you a small sample. It generally takes one pill to find out if you can tolerate it.
