   Questions about Paxil (Menopause board)

15th December 2004
Hopefully,

I was on Lo-ovral. I had an endometrial ablation in March and stopped taking the pill. Just recently I started to have the hot flashes (mild) and some insomnia. Since I get migraines, my doctor suggested I try Prometrium (which is just progesterone). I started that about 1 month ago and have not had a hot flash since. I think most of my problem has been a lack of Progesterone all along. I still get a little anxiety (especially if I have any caffeine), but not bad enough to go back on Lexapro.

Before all of this started, I rarely took even an aspirin! I really think when I started having all of my original symptoms about 2 years ago the only solution was to straighten things out with the pill.

The Lo-Ovral is low dose and evens out all of the hormones.

Good Luck!

Thanks Mary. I just asked you the same question on another thread. Just disregard :).
