Yes there is , my sons nana is bipolar , her brother was bipolar and actually died a horrible death from the illness. He also has an uncle with add and three cousins taking medication for ADD. My son has been diagnosed bipolar , just six months ago. The doctor thought maybe it was leaning towards adhd more so than bipolar. I guess he was wrong. The mania lasted about a week. The doctors have put him on lithium as well as his epival. He is a lot more calm now but holy.!!!!!!! No more stimulants for him.!!!!!
