jwh,
sounds like you haven't had it easy either. I hope things got a little bit better after implementing the changes mentioned in your post. I too have problems with nighttime (and anytime, I guess) acid reflux and the sinuses and achy (clogged?)ears. I also have runny eyes A LOT of the time. I too think the use of Nexium brought on all my symptoms with the exception of nausea. That has improved. I would not dare to mention this theory to my doctor though. There was a time I suspected Lipitor (a cholesterol medication) of affecting my leg muscles, causing me to lose balance unexpectedly and without warning several times. I mentioned this suspicion to my doctor, who got really mad at me. Same reaction when I mentioned this or that side effect of my meds. He stands by the drugs he prescribes and believes in them completely. Any of my "so called" side effects are attributed to anxiety or a consequence of aging. Common sense dictates that the more medications a person takes, the higher the occurence of side-effects. Also, based on my personal experience, the intensity of side effects increases with the dose. They are dose-dependent for the most part.
