Cloverberry,
I am not taking any statins at the present time. However, I have tired Lipitor, Crestor, and Pravachol, all of which cause me to have leg pain.

You could have PAD (peripheral vascular disease) or PN (peripheral neuropathy). Are you diabetic? Prostate problems can also cause leg pain, unless you are female. Some people that are allergic to statins (lipitor, etc)and fenofibrates (tricor, gemfibrozil) take them too long before realizing that they are damaging the muscles and nerves in their legs, and the damage can become permanent! What did your doc say?

My doctor thought I had tenonitis in the legs. My pain is in the the back of the thighs, knees and sometimes the back of my ankles. Doctor thought it may have been brought on by driving long distances. I bought a gel seat for the car and that seems to help.
I have used Lipitor, Crestor and Pravachol all of which caused me leg pain, but the pain felt like it was in the bone or the muscle.
I am 61 and talking with other seniors I find that leg pain is pretty common.
