I had my thyroid tested after complaining to my PCP of fatigue. My acne of 34 years is also pretty much gone. I say pretty much because I recently tried B5 after reading so much about it but found it caused me to breakout. I take a low dose of spironolactone in addition to Levoxyl.

I have not found any literature that associates thyroid disease with acne. I also went to many different derms and none ever recommended I get my thyroid tested.

I believe there is a relationship between acne and thyroid disease because many many years ago they use to use xray treatments of the thyroid to treat acne. I just don't understand why none of the articles on acne mention testing of the thyroid.
