HI Chris- I posted these results some time ago, but I was hoping you would give me your opinion on them again. The reasons I want you to look at them again are because the doctor doesn't seem to concerned about the cortisol level and seems to want to treat her thyroid first. She is on a 1/2 grain of Armour now but I'm worried because we really aren't seeing any results - she has been on the Armour for about 5 weeks and was on Levoxyl for 6 weeks prior to that- I thought we would have seen some results by now even if we aren't at the optimal level yet. The results we are mostly looking for are weight loss and hopefully better moods (lol). Do you think the low cortisol levels could be the reason we are not seeing any results yet? I understand the the thyroid pretty well but i'm still in the dark when comes to understanding the adrenals. This is my nine-year-old daughter and I'm desperate to help her but I'm running out of ideas as to whats wrong. Here are the results again:
Reference range:
7am-9am
.27-2.06 her level= .47
11am-1pm
.03-.77 her level= .05
3pm-5pm
.03-.56 her level= .18
10pm-12am
.03-.50 her level= .03
I guess what i'm wondering is since these levels are in the ranges should we concentrate on her thyroid and just keep on eye on the cortisol, or do you think the low cortisol is causing some of her problems (main one being weight gain)?
Thanks soo much!
