Dear Tana-
Thank you so much for sharing! It truly makes me feel good that I can share with others and visa versa.
I see Ernest's ped on Aug. 23rd. I will ask her about the vitamins. If she isn't up with it I will have to find an alternative route. Cross your fingers it would make it so much easier if she was.
Thanks for the heads up on the thyroid issue. Ernest does have Hypo so he is taking Levothroid.
I have three other children. Ashlea who is 14 (the athlete). Brookie (the angel) would of been 11. She died of an unoperable brain stem glioma (tumor) at the age of 6. Chloe who is 3 (she's a puff puff (hair) with a spitfire attitude. and of course Ernest! For some reason I have an amazing bond with Ernest that I have never felt with my other children. I don't know it's it because he is a boy. He has downs or that he is my last. Until we adopt of course! Like my husband said "We have taken ourselves out of the gene pool". So our next children will be adopted.
I commend you and your husband. People with special children I feel need to be commended. God gave us gifts. He could of gave Ernest to anyone one of the many people I know but he didn't. He chose me to raise him to the best of my ability. A LOT and I truly mean A LOT of people say to us " I don't know how you do it, I know I couldn't do it". I tell them "Do what? Be a parent? Love my child? I am lucky to have Ernest. I am a better person for him being in my life. I truly believe that Brooke's passing has helped me to accept and be thankful that I am able to have Ernest. There were so many times during my pregnancy that we could of lost him. My body kept trying to have him from 27 weeks on but we fought the odds and won the greatest treasure....Ernest. Omiword look at my ramblings.... You are probably saying "Man this lady needs to get out and post more"... I promise my other posts won't be this long. I wish there was a way we could exchange emails.
Take care!
