I currently use Yasmin, and have been on it for about a year. The worst thing about it is that my insurance only covers about $5.00 worth... so I pay $50.00 a month. It's been great for me.. but b.c of the cost, my new Gyno is having me try something new that is suppose to be similar. I'll start Levora-28 in about 2 weeks.

When I started Yasmin I had a migrain that seemed to last for about a week. But no problems with BC related headaches after that. I was nausious the first two weeks, but taking the pill with some food helped. And I had to use the bathroom a lot! (Yasmin helps with water retetion.. which minimizes bloating during your period, consequence is needing to use the bathroom often!)

I didn't experience any weight gain, or increase in acne. I improved my moods tremendously (depression severe mood swings-- the main reason I chose this pill, i heard it was the best for severe emotional pms). I have little to no cramping.

I stopped using the pill for about 3 months at one point. I can't say for sure, but my face broke out really bad. My best guess is that stopping the pill caused or contributed.

Over all thought, my experience with Yasmin was great. I hope that Levora is just as good to me.... *fingers crossed*

Hey jen52983! How did it end up going with Levora?? Curious b/c I was thinking about starting Yaz soon, but it would be great to find a cheap generic that is good! Thanks!!
