My loss in libido was very significant. But when I started the pill, I was a teenager -- almost 20 years ago. My libido was okay on several of the ortho varietals. I never initiated, but once I got going it was all right.
Then I switched to Levora in '98, and the libido was gone, zip, nada. I never made the connection between the pill and libido, and my gyno told me this was "normal" after getting married.
I went off Levora in March of this year, and I kid you not when I say I'm positively ravenous for my hubby. I honestly don't know if it's because I'm hitting my "prime" or because I went off the pill.
So, yes, the pill significantly affected my libido, at least the Levora did.
The bright side of your situation is you have a baseline to compare. If, after a few cycles on the pill, you notice a change, you can try a different pill or non-hormonal contraceptive altogether.
