Birth Control to Regulate Periods?? (Birth Control board)

20th December 2004
Hi,
looks like you've gotten lots of responses but I'll stick my 2cents in just in case.
I used to have TERRIBLE periods, they were a mess. Some months it would last for 15 days, some months I wouldn't get it, then it would come every 2 weeks...and the cramps were awful.
Finally when I was 17 my dr. said it may be a good idea to try, I felt weird about it because I was a virgin and it just seemed odd, but I trusted him. It worked out great. After the first 2-3 months it was like clock work and I've never had to walk around with a bag full of pads and tampons again! (I'm now 30 and have been on Nordette or Levora for generic ever since).

Good Luck!
