I have tried every cholesterol lowering drug I think and have finally found one that not only works, but doesn't give me any bad side effects ( so far).
My numbers have dropped dramatically in 5 weeks time. I am taking Crestor. My total cholesterol was 230, this past Monday it was 173, triglycerides from 132 to 95, LDL down, HDL up. Can't remember the exacts #'s.
In the past I have taken Lipitor, Lescol, Welchol, Niacin and all of them gave me problems.
Currently I am taking Crestor and Zetia. So far so good. I am 49 years old, female, and have already had a endarterectomy because of 90% blockage. This seems to be a hereditary problem more than a life style thing, so I can't do much about it except keep those numbers in line. I feel real funny at the CV surgeons office, every one else is in their 70's or more !! Then there's me !!
Has anyone else taken Crestor and is it doing you some good, what about any side effects ??
