[QUOTE=luvmyyorkie;2894475]I'm an RN who works 12-hr night shifts at a hospital and recently diagnosed Type 1. The endo told me just the other day I may have to change to day shift or find a less stressful job in order to get my BG under control. I told my nurse manager that & he jokingly said I need to find a new endo instead, LOL. He then seriously said he could move me to day shift if that's what it'll take to keep me and get my BG under control. I told him they just changed my dosages and I'm gonna give that a try first.
What type of insulin do you use? It's a lot easier to lead a flexible lifestyle if you are on a pump or lantus or levemir with bolus doses with meals. Please, please tell me you aren't on NPH, or worse pre-mixed *gag*.
