When do I take the ACTH stim test? (Addison's Disease board)

5th November 2006
On Thursday Oct 19th I had a shot of Kenalog. Addison’s is suspected, but we can’t test until the Kenalog wears completely off. Four days ago I began to get the old symptoms back, with some new additions.

Heart rate jumps to 140. Palpitations.
Leg pain. Tingling of extremities. (Feels like I’m preparing for a paralytic event)
Muscle spasms.
Periods of weakness. (Not as bad as before)
Excessive sweating (especially palms and feet)
Dizzy when coughing, standing. Heart races.
Vomiting several times a day
NO appetite
Pigmentation has noticeably gotten darker over the last week. A ton of new freckles, my c-section scar turned completely brown. General darkening everywhere.

It’s only been 2.5 weeks and the dr was talking about 6-12. I’m keeping an eye on my blood pressure and it’s remaining steady between 117/63 and 127/85. It does drop when I stand, but not into the “low” range. My blood glucose has stayed rock-solid at 99-100.

I’m a little confused as to how I’m having symptoms of hypoglycemia and hypotension without hypoglycemia and hypotension. My son is a diabetic and I know he can have hypo symptoms from a sudden drop in BG even if he remains above normal. (false low)

Am I safe as long as my BP stays up? The dr is leaving it up to me to judge the time to take the test. When do I jump?
