I would say alesse isn't the pill for you. Everyone has different effects from the pill. One persons side effects may/may not occur in another person. I would say by the improvements in your complexion that the alesse probably lowered the amount of testosterone (an androgen) that your body makes. In a female, testosterone is related to acne. Unfortunately, it is also what gives you your sex drive.

Finding the right pill is just trial and error. I hope you find one that works for you! Some people get lucky and the first one they try is good. I know Ortho tri cyclen is very popular, many of my friends take it and they don't complain about side effects. Personally, I take Kariva (generic for mircette) which has worked great for me. I would find out what your insurance will cover, because some insurance plans won't cover the newest brands (ortho tri cyclen LO, Yaz, Loestrin 24, seasonale), and pick one of those.
