How much do you pay? (Birth Control board)

6th June 2006
I work in a pharmacy and get an employee discount. I take Kariva (Mircette) and with my discount I pay $24.00 a pack. "Bordergirl", you should try Kariva and save yourself some money! Trust me, they are exactly like Mircette..only cheaper! :)

I took mircette for a couple years when my college gave it out for 8/pack for the brand name. I noticed absolutely no difference when switching to kariva.

Actually I'm really glad to hear that! The reason I've stuck to brand name is because when I took Desogen (same maker as Mircette) my period was 2 days but when I took the generic Apri (same maker as Kariva) it was 5 days. So I guess I will give Kariva a try next month!

Thats strange how the Apri was different than the Desogen for you.

some months, I only bleed for 2 days. Then some months, it's 3 or 4. But I've been on Kariva for a long time and I absolutely love it! I guess your cycle just changes from month to month no matter what kind you take!
