Hi TruthseekerTn,

A take isosorbide (nitrate), but if you take IMDUR it is important that your heart function and BP be closely monitored to avoid the possibility of unfavorable side effects. I can tell you that nitrate-type medication such as IMDUR may AGGRAVATE ANGINA CAUSED BY CERTAIN HEART CONDITIONS. THAT IS A WARNING GIVEN WITH IMDUR.

The stress test should show if there is ischemia meaning a lack of blood supply to the heart muscle during the exercise routine when demand for oxygen increases. Your symptoms of pain you are experiencing appears to be angina! Why do you say you don't have angina?

It is possible the stress test didn't reveal any ischemia; it could be a false negative result.
