Mom has be given permission to use the Iressa! Her immune system was to low to allow anymore chemo treatments. About a week after her lung catscan, she had a brain scan and was found to have several tumors growing in her brain. None are able to be removed. She took the radation 10 day course. She has become more controlling and abusive and is now on 3.5 tablets of haladol in a 24 hrs spread along with a sleeping tablet that gets her to sleep atleast 8 hrs a day. Her balance is affected and it seems as if her kedneys are beginning to shut down. Her creatine is high and the urea is low. I quess what my question is this time is the tiredness and back pains signs that the cancer has progressed? This is the first time that I have had a terminal ill family member and the health care providers just do not seem to be answering my questions. I know she will not survive this but I also have 2 children that need some preparing. Thanks
