Maybe you could find a place for your dad and he could try Iressa. Iressa is one of the new "smart" drugs that targets the cancer cells. It is currently for "compassionate use" because although it's been through Phase III trials, it is not on the market yet. I called Astra Zenica, the manufacturer, and they gave me the names of drs. and hospitals in my area that are using it. It is less toxic than chemo too. Like all the chemos, though, it only works for a percentage of people but maybe give your dad a little longer.
