Step By step Thanks for the response.I had my EX FX removed on Dec. 10th. We just got back from a Christmas trip to Iowa. All went well as long as I took Vicodin. I even managed to walk a little bit without the aid of crutches. However now that I am no longer on Vicodin my pain level has definitely increased. It is worst in the morning when I first get out of bed and have to really push myself to get moving. I am currently wearing a compression stocking along with the fracture boot. I can get around OK with the support of one crutch but still have a great deal of pain. I am taking Indocin which is a step up from Celebrex and an aspirin every day. We are going to Maui on the 17th of this month and am having a great deal of anxiety wondering how mobile I'm going to be. I haven't started PT yet but hope to have at least a week or so worth before we leave on our trip. We are going with another couple and I hope I don't hold them back to much because I won't be able to do alot of stuff. I still am very swollen and ice my foot usually at night for a half an hour or so. Maybe I should be icing it more? I do elevate it alot also. Did you have alot of pain during PT and were you on any pain meds while doing PT? If my pain level is bad now I'm wondering how bad is it going to get while exercising? I will be doing Physio Therepy which is PT in water and alot of massages. Anyway hope to hear from you soon.
