Anxiety after starting meds (Anxiety board)

13th August 2007
I've been on meds for Gerd for 10 years and recently started using a CPAP machine for sleep apnea. After a recent doc visit I started on meds called Buspar and Inderal because of anxiety stemming from the other health issues. In the past few days, the anxiety has gotten almost constant and almost unbearable. I haven't had any changes in my life and don't feel any different beyond these episodes. I'm an episode away from going to the hospital because they have been so bad that my hands have turned purple and my face has been very blotchy. These aren't normal and are brought on by seemingly nothing. I know anxiety attacks are bad but I seem to having them all the time and they seem to have real serious physical threats. I understand that these attacks feel really bad...but aren't physically harmful....but the way I looked yesterday terrified me and my family. I asked my doc and he said take another Buspar, and I did. I still felt awful. I'm wondering if the anxiety medicine made my anxiety worse. I never had it this bad before I started taking the Buspar and Inderal...but I'm afraid to not take them. Any help would be great
