Anyone tried low dose atypicals (Seroquel etc) for anxiety.

Valium, 5mg twice a day, works for me (as an addon to my effexor) but the docs (probably wisely) only allow me to use it on average 1 day in 2, to avoid ddpendence.

Wondering if hydroxyzine or a low dose neuroleptic might be a good choice... am favouring hydroxyzine, as it seems to be milder, but is it as effectice
