I have been bleeding from my rectum since Feb, 2001,
had a Sigmoid test done and the results were negative.
I've come to find out for myself that I had an
internal bleeding hemorroid. I never felt any pain,
itching or any other discomfort generally related
to hemorroid except the bleeding. When I use the
toilet...blood is splattered all inside the bowl and
the water is very red. My doctor prescribed Hydrocortisone suppositories which I took for awhile and it did stop the bleeding. But after taking the suppositories for 3 months, my doctor told me to stop and see if the bleeding continues. The bleeding continued after 2 weeks and suggested I go see a surgeon to see about removing the hemorroid. I went to
the surgeon my doctor referred me to and the surgeon
suggested that the hemorroid be removed by laser. I am at this present time waiting to see if my insurance will cover the procedure.
