I am not sure I would do this on the same day (it might be easier to reschedule the biopsy surgery). A couple of months ago I had some gum surgery for which I had to take a dose of halcion beforehand. It is much, much milder than an general anesthetic. The dentist emphasized that I should not drive for 24 hours after taking it and should not try to do any type of major decision making that day. You need to be functioning at your best to close on a house.
