Hi Susan,

Hope you are feeling better. There are lymph glands in the area you state that may become swollen if there is an infection. The glands are the sites where the infection interacts with the cells of your immune system.

Furosemide medication can cause a hearing problem, but that probably is ruled out during your visit with your cardiologist.

Drink plenty of fluids, lots of rest, and take your medication.
