i have been recently diagnosed having a hitus hernia through a barium meal follow through, im taking zoton 30mg per day and i still get wind, belching etc i have had the following tests so far-

bloods
ph test 24 hrs
ultrasound
barium swallow
barium meal follow through

i have been told by my consultant, that i can oped for having key hole surgey or carry on taking zoton i have no idea what to do?,

also i have just found out that people taking zoton should take the following beta-carotene and vatamin b12 and folic acid due to the drug absorbing thease in the body? does anyone else take suplements and does it help them

i dont know wether to have the surgery i have not had an endoscope has the reflux has been diagnosed via a barium tests

any advice or comments you can give me

b12 110ug folic acid 400ug and beta carotene

What are the symptoms of b12 deficiencey? I have been so tired lately, and mucscle aches...Im afraid to do a search on these symptoms because then I will think Ihave something terrible!!! But these symptoms started about 3 weeks after double dosing my ppi...so, im kind of wondering if it had anything to do with that. Would a good multi vitamin supplement be enuff, or is there something else that is better as a supplement for b12?
