   Rumpled (Addison's Disease board)

27th April 2008
The nurse left a voice mail on Friday saying all the labs they took on Tuesday were ok, and to go ahead and stop the Florinef.
I stopped yesterday, today going to car, dont know what happened, landed face down in the garage, hit my head on wall, broke my fall with left foot and right knee. It was not ONE OF MY MORE PROUD MOMENTS.
Anyway foot hurts like crazy, not sure if it is broken, I can walk, but it hurts terriblly to put weight on it.
Heart rate now over a 100 when standing.
I don't have the ranges of the tests yet, but they are going to mail them to me.

Thank you. I have had quite a pity party this week. I feel like one big health disaster and like I am ninety years old.

You will have to laugh at this. My Endo wants me to come back on Thursday.
Maybe taking me off Florinef was not such a good thing. Acted like this was the first they realzied my blood pressure was going up and down, HELLO SHE ORDERED THE TEST LAST WEEK. She is one of the best in the area. SAD HUH!
This has only been going on for two weeks.

Now I have to take my blood pressure several times a day and she wants to see the log on Thursday when I go.

Re Florinef... I have to change doses all the time. Sometimes I take .1. Now I am on .1 and .5 at night (gained freaking weight ACK!!!!), sometimes take .2 (divided morning and night last time did not gain weight why this time!!!), and sometimes take .5...
Does this give you a hint?
On my salt tablets, I sometimes take 1 a day, sometimes 2 a day, currently 2 a day and I carry some with me in case I need more.

All I know is that needs change.
My renin goes up and down like crazy and how is beyond me since I don't have no frikken adrenal glands anymore.

If I broke my foot, I would feel sorry for myself too... both my shoulders are frozen and that bites too. Take your pressure and you may just need a different dose of florinef or maybe just salt tablets on a regular basis. I get the basic sodium chloride tablets - buy them by the 1000's since, well, I am going to use them... hah!
Hang in there...
