I am so sorry that you are going through all of this. I hope that your doctor told you to taper off the florinef and not just stop cold turkey. It has taken me a month to get off, and I am not doing so hot with the side effects from the withdrawel from it.

Florinef is usually a med that you taper on and taper off... that being said, a long time ago, when I did not have addison's but cushing's, I was taking it and when I had some tests that showed that I did not need it, I did stop cold turkey with no problems.
I would prehaps ask a pharmacist... in any event, it would be out of your system in a day or two.

Oh alright, I was taking a lower dosage anyways. I haven't noticed any withdrawal side effects yet.. I am hoping it stays that way.

Alright, well. I got my results back to see all my aldesterone/sodium/renin and everything since I have been on the Florinef. My Aldesterone and Sodium were finally normal for once... but guess what! My Renin was double what it was suppose to be- it was normal before I took the Florinef. So when one thing is better another gets worse, so now I am off the Florinef. My doctor just said " Put alot of salt on your food, come back and we can retest you in a month." She has no clue whats going on.

I was wondering if anyone could find me a long list of anything that could be causing all my symptoms from my previous post.. I am so tired of feeling crappy. It would be much appreciated. I have looked around at anything I could find- but its just repeating what I have already seen. If you have anything new, please post.

You may want to look for salt tablets if you want to get more salt instead of just food.
My renin pops around too.. even when I am taking florinef. I fail to understand why.

I too wish I could find the magic combo which would make me feel good too!
