I have Addison's Disease. I too crave salty foods. It is your body's way of helping you retain fluids. I take florinef to help me retain fluids. I no longer crave salt! To replace the function of my Adrenal Glands I take Hydrocortisone. I works better for me with less side-effects. Ask you doctor about these drugs and also for blood work for your throid.
