Belle's suggestion of Flonase is great, and it can be very effective for allergic or non-allergic rhinitis. However, it is a nasal steroid. If you are on any steroid meds for your asthma, it might pose a problem (doubling up on two steroid meds). Also, even in people without asthma, Flonase can cause asthma symptoms or wheezing in up to a whopping 7% of patients in clinical studies published in pharmaceutical literature and the drug company's own monographs. So even though Flonase may be perfect for you, again, if you have asthma it's something to discuss with your doc. There are many other options for you if your doctor feels Flonase isn't for you. I'm sure your he'll find a way to make you comfortable again! zuzu xx |
