I dont know if your receding hair is the same as what I experienced but I would like to share what I have experienced and hope it might help. I am 6o yrs old and have had prostate problems (too large)for some time ( I think it may be due to my extreme mountian biking aggraviting the prostate). My dr. put me on flomax which helps urination but dosent reduce the prostate but i wanted to reduce the prostate size . so i researched saw palmetto and decided to start using it on 1/1/07. I take about 1000 mg a day. After about a month I noticed little hairs sprouting on the front of my head where it had been totally bare for a long time. As the days and weeks past i have been experiencing more and more hair regrowth it areas of my head that have been bald for years. I am totally sensitive to my hair loss and have tried the laser comb, rogaine, vitimans, etc for years and they all did nothing. It has been 2 months now and I am amazed at how much fuller my hair feels. MY bald areas have a lot more to regrow but at the rate things are going I am confident i will experience more regrowth and it has totally helped my self esteme. Prior to this I was under the assumption that if the area was bald that the hair would not regrow but this is sure working for me. You are so young I pray that the saw palmetto could work for you. It is really inexpensive and does not have any sexual side effects like Propecia, In fact it has improved my sex drive. immensily. I have ditched the flowmax totally and I am just on the saw palmetto. Good luck and I hope it works.
