To the person that said Ultram is not addicitng. God you are wrong. I have been through detox for Ultram( 1 time last year) and am going again tomorrow. Ultram does not even begin to start affecting you until 2 to 3 hrs., after you take it and stays in the body for an extremely long time. It is a synthetic opiate. It attaches to the nerve reseptors and stops pain just like Lorcet, Lortab or anything. Ultram is bad because medical people think it is a anti-inflamatory. I would never want ANYONE to go through Ultram detox. It is a horrible physical dependance worse then anything. Ultram stays in your body a lot longer then any narcotic therefore making it harder to get out of your body. When I first got hooked 2 Ultram gave me energy and a high almost all day. I know that it wirked so well they use it in Europe to trat depression. Believe me, you take it, you will NOT be depressed. If you do not beleive me, try 2 pills at one time, and wait 2 to 3 hours. I promise you that will you wil have energy and a high like never before. Do not take anymore. I wold not want you to get hooked. It is so easy too.
I just want you and everyone to see how bad Ultram is and how easy it is to get. Shoot, hit search on your PC, type in Ultram and you will come up with tons of places that will sell it to you. That is the bad part. These places need to be shut down but they can ship Ultram, Soma and Fioricet because they are not considered a contorlled substance. Now Soma and Fioricet are controlled in a few states but Ultram is not controlled in any state as of yet. There is just so much ignorance about this drug and people do not familiarize themselves with the potentioals od addiction it has. People just have to learn that Ultram ( Tramadol is the generic name) is an adcitive synthtic opiate. Synthetic opiates are as bad as any. There is even Nalbulaine that you can order now. That is bad as well. I hope that you wise up and do not let yourself think Ultram is not bad. If you get hooked on it, there is pure H*** to pay getting off.
Any pain killer is not addicitve IF it is taken properly but addicts take much more then prescribed and as thier tolerance grows so does the need for more pill. I do not think they need to ban pain meds because some people truly need it but I think it needs to be monitered by people with an abuse potential.
