Hi guys :)

I can't seem to kick this darn thing.......I have tapered off many things, and quit them all together. But this one is a tough one for me. I am currently taking around 10 to 15 per day, I think the rebound headaches are killing me, but also, when I try, my head gets soooo foggy, can't function.

Any info would be so very helpful...........

Thanks so very much!

After taking fioricet for over 20 years I stopped.I was scared but it was easy for me. I did only take 4 sometimes 5 a day but I tapered by taking 3 a day for 4 days then 2 a day for 4 days then 1 for 4 days then none.I do take an extra neuronton a day 4 rather then three and that seems to help my migraines a bit but I am still checking for a drug to help me with the horrid pain of migraines. Seems that fioricet was a good drug for me. Rather not take it again though. I am sure you can do it with a taper similar to mine just a bit longer.Good luck and BTW no WD at all.

Thank you guys sooo much for the info, and the support! I am curious though...what is Neuronton? I have suffered from migraines for over 20 years and never heard of that one. I take Inderal to prevent them, imitrex if it gets really bad and the stupid Fioricet to maintain them. Thanks again!

Blessings to all:angel:

hi sons,

Many have run into problems with Fiorinal or Fioricet. So much so that they have been banned insome countries and Dr.'s can't Rx them anymore. (Italy is one)

The butalbital is a barbituate so they are supposed to be tapered similar to benzo's. Serious problems can happen if done too fast.

Some can do it fast without problems, but why take that chance. Did you do a search here and use Fioricet and/or Fiorinal?

Good luck // zach

NEURONTIN is a prescription medicine that can be used to treat nerve pain that follows shingles in adults (postherpetic neuralgia). It also treats partial seizures in adults and children 3 years and older along with other seizure medicines. I have been taking neurontin for RSD for years and it does help somewhat. It is a drug that is used for a lot of different conditions. I cannot take imitrex or many of the other migraine drugs due to reaction on the heart that they warn you about.
Good Luck
