Actually they put fioricet on schedule II now. It is a narcotic and it contains a barbituate called butabital. I knew people who was addicted to them but they always caused my muscles to spasm too badly. I dont know any particular methods to taper off this drug besides stepping down doses everyday like any other drug. Also any anything You did use to help like ultram or a benzo could start a new addiction unless you done it responsibly. I'm sure you can figure it out, there is no mystery to doing it. Just use common sense and the will to quit and you can do it.
