No, the only thing it did was make me depressed all the time and make my boobs bigger (went up a cup size). I went off of it after only four months because of the depression. Unfortunately, after I had switched to a couple other pills, I found out the reason for the depression on the Ovcon was that the pill depletes B vitamins. I got depressed on another pill (Brevicon) and I started taking a B complex vitamin every day and then I felt a lot better. If I had known about the B vitamin depletion a long time ago, I would have just stayed on the Ovcon and just took the B complex. That was the best pill I've ever been on. Truthfully, too, I think that monophasic pills, like Ovcon, are actually better for your skin. Regarding the Estrostep, you might want to reconsider that one. It's higher in androgens (male hormones) and while it may be better for libido purposes, it's really not good for your hair or your skin, from everything I've read. When I was on it, I didn't get any skin problems from it, but I lost a whole lotta hair, I'm talking at least a quarter of it. Plus, it made me depressed every month like clockwork a week before my period. I never had that problem before that pill. Like I said, pills affect everyone differently, but, if it were me, I'd avoid that one like the plague.
