I was on Estrostep 3 or 4 birth control pills ago (mainly to regulate the evil period and keep the acne at bay) and I didn't really notice a difference. However, I have been on Seasonale since early September, and I must say, I can't get off it soon enough! It's great not getting the period every month (you get it only 4x year on Seasonale) but it has really given me some bad side effects.
First off, my libido is at an unspeakable low (much to the chagrin of my fiance, but I'm working on that...)
Secondly, I've been very bloated, seemingly all the time (which totally sucks)...
Thirdly, my skin has been breaking out like it's nobody's business.
This may be my body's response to the Seasonale (everyone's different) but I thought it would be the miracle 'pill'; it's not :(
Since I've been using ProActiv for the past 2 years, my skin has definitely gotten better, and I'm sure hoping that going back on Estrostep combined w/ the ProActiv system will help me out.
I'm starting it in a few weeks; I'll let you know how it goes:)
