   Who's on Estrostep?? (Acne board)

15th November 2004
I was on Estrostep 3 or 4 birth control pills ago (mainly to regulate the evil period and keep the acne at bay) and I didn't really notice a difference. However, I have been on Seasonale since early September, and I must say, I can't get off it soon enough! It's great not getting the period every month (you get it only 4x year on Seasonale) but it has really given me some bad side effects.

First off, my libido is at an unspeakable low (much to the chagrin of my fiance, but I'm working on that...)

Secondly, I've been very bloated, seemingly all the time (which totally sucks)...

Thirdly, my skin has been breaking out like it's nobody's business.

This may be my body's response to the Seasonale (everyone's different) but I thought it would be the miracle 'pill'; it's not :(

Since I've been using ProActiv for the past 2 years, my skin has definitely gotten better, and I'm sure hoping that going back on Estrostep combined w/ the ProActiv system will help me out.

I'm starting it in a few weeks; I'll let you know how it goes:)

Estrostep FE was the second brand of birth control pill I took. If I remember correctly, my skin cleared when I was on it. Not perfectly clear, but clearer. Since I have been on any type of BP my skin has had a large reduction in really large, inflamed zits.

Good luck to you, I'd give it a few months to see how it goes!

The only reason I stopped Estrostep was because my university pharmacy quit carrying it at a reduced rate. Since I didn't want to pay more, I had to switch. Otherwise, I'd probably still be on the Estrostep. It was the best pill for my sex drive!
