I had pretty much he same experience in April when I switched from Ovcon to Estrostep. Both pills have the SAME chemical make up -- but the Estrostep has ALOT more progestin. I gained about 4 pounds a week while on it (and I ate no differently than usual) and I started getting the bumps -- a few on my face but my neck and torso were covered (and they would come and go). Additionally I had mood swings and my bloop pressure went way up.
Gyn and my primary doc said I have a progestin intolerance. So i am back on the Ovcon and doing fine. They said eventually the bumps will totally clear up, but for me to not it expect it for about 3 months (my body has to reacclimate). ACK.
