[QUOTE=Justoneofus;3300016]Percs, ultram, ultracet.. that whole line.. makes me hurl almost immediately and then I can't stop. That's a icky feeling and one I try and avoid.
I have the same reaction... not as acutely but percocet and endocet totally make me dizzy and sickly. I take vicodin and it works great - especially on the immediate acute pain - with no side effects at all. I was taking morphine sulfate (MS Contin) once a day for a general pain reliever, but I'm using it less and less.
Sounds like you're doing good. I had my TLIF 3 weeks ago and I'm having all sorts of wonderful new pains! But I do have little victories every day... I went to work today and showed off my walker and said hi to everyone... though it nearly killed me... I was gone from the house for 2 hours and I felt like I ran a marathon.
Keep it up!
