   ultracet......anyone???? (Back Problems board)

22nd August 2003
Phantom,

I feel for you, this whole thing is so confusing, especially when you hear one thing from your doc., something else from the pharmacist, etc. Anyhoo, after a while the Ultram stopped working for my pain and I need to switch to narcotics. First I was on Oxycodone, then Endocet. Same pain killers as Percocet, which is actually not all that strong. Now I've had to go to Morphine Sulpate.

If the Ultram are making you sick, and are not helping with the pain, try looking at a mild (relatively speaking) narcotic. Even if you just have them to take on an as needed basis. But by all means, talk to your doctor. You need to communicate with them if what you are taking is not working, or worse, making you sick. Sometimes doctors are unaware of drug interactions, so you need to twll your doctor what the pharmacist said.

Good luck.

Anne :)
