Hi, just because it is used for depression does not mean it can also be used for other purposes and most are well tested in trials.I to suffer from chronic tension headaches and have for over 25 years daily, my neurologist after 6 hours worth test diagnosed me with tension headaches and prescribed me Trazodone which is a antidepressent,I could not tolerate it to well or rather didnt give it a chance but now I'm on elavil which also is a AD and have been for 4 years,I have seen some improvement but not cured and no I dont think a AD will induce depression.Both Elavil and Pamelor are tricyclic antidepressants and are used to treat headaches
