Hi Everyone,

I'm Linda, Richard's wife. He just wanted to let you all know that his surgery went well and that he really has appreciated all the great info you have given him on what to expect. This is what he wrote earlier today.....

"Well it's 16 hours post surgery. My doctors were pretty cool. While I was in recovery they say I became combative and wanted to walk. I kept saying I needed to walk. That's the work of you guys, drilling "walking" into my head. I woke up about 6 am and had no pain, back or leg. Just pressure from the incisions. So far so good. I have a med pump fulled with dilantin. Works great. Thanks for the tip. I just wanted all of you to know that the hard part for me is over. I woke up! Next step is walking to the beach! More soon.
