For what it's worth, I used to suffer-and I do mean SUFFER-from itching on my arms. It could be in the crease of the arm, near the wrists or upper arms and the worse it itched the more I scratched and it would itch worse. The itch was the kind that you coudn't satisfy by scratching and seemed to come from deep inside. needless to say, my scratching would cause the area to bleed and very easily. This, of course, would also itch like crazy. It got so bad that I was contemplating suicide as nothing seemed to help. Various doctors prescribed various expensive Rx creams, ointments etc. One doctor put me on neurontin and Dilantin. Finally, a dermatologist stated that the only thing that could cause itching of this sort was a neck injury and I hadn't had one...ever. he gave me some cream and sent me on my way. It came and went and came and I started taking responsibility for solving this. I have studied martial arts for many years and began training in combat judo years before which coincidentally was before the itching began. It dawned on me that all that throwing and slamming and rolling had given me stiff neck at times and since I had gone on to study pressure points and accupucture-accupressure, I thought I'd try interrupting the itch by using some pressure points to interrupt the nerve flow. Slowly but surely, the itching subsided and, of course, the stress that came with it. It has been a long time since this happened and I wanted to share some good news, that being that it isn't a hopeless case for anyone out there going thru what I did. It was truly one of the most horrible periods of my life. If anyone could benefit from this, e-mail me and I'll try and help.
I'm very grateful to be over this and it shows no sign of returning.
Regards and keep the faith.
