Skippa, Yeast from what I understand doesn't cause cancer but over a long period of time can contribute to organ problems, I have seen some things saying that years of chronic septic yeast infection in the blood can cause organ failure and body shut down but my opinion is that it would get diganosed befor this could happen. From my experience as I am going through this now is that doctors don't really reconize this as a serious problem and fix the symptoms and never really address the problem. I am making my dr test my blood tomorrow to see just home much I have as I jsu can't kick it and my food allergies are getting worse.
The spit test .... You spit inot a glass of water first thing in the morning, if you have thing coming down from the spit that look like jellyfish legs, or the water is clould and it looks like there are particles floating in it or the saliva sinks to the bottom you have yeast overgrowth. There is a ton of info on the net just type in candidia saliva test. Let us know what happens> Treatment is a very strict diet, very hard to do no sugar, grains, breads, crackers of any sort , fruit or juice , wine or beer, vinager no peanuts no dairy and no potato.......
You can eat
meat chicken fish pork all must be organic or no antibiotic or hormone in it which contributes to yeast growth,
Veggies
Almonds, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds
Very limited diet but it really kills off the little buggers.
Take a good probiotic and digestive enzymes if you suspect leaky gut, make sure you are not constipated as when you experience die off you need to keep things moving along to get the toxins out. If your spit test was really bad you may need an anti fungal such as oil of oregano it is potent so be careful or you can go to the dr and get nyastin or diflucan but that wipes out all bacteria and you need to keep what good you have in there to help get rid of it. Keep us posted good luck it is a long hard raod but honestly there is an end to it, I just keep telling myself that I have been treating this for 9 weeks.....
