I've had the same experience as you....OTC Lo has been horrible on my skin! I don't think it has made it worse, but it has definately not made it any better. I will admit that after 4 or 5 months, things got a little bit better--especially my forehead--but the first couple months were complete HELL on my chin and jawline!! :o

I like the lower dose of hormones for preventing pregnancy and regulating my cycle, but they are definately too low to help with acne! I am hoping to get a prescription for a new pill (Yasmin, regualr OTC, or Desogen) at my annual gyno appointment on December 23rd! Good luck to you! :angel:

I haven't quit OTC Lo yet....I have stuck it out since January b/c my health insurance covers it by mail in 3 month supplies. :rolleyes: Also, my gyno would not change my pill prescription until I had an office visit--I am scheduled for December 23rd.

I have read from other girls on the board that switching pills will still takes a month or 2 to see results as your body gets used to the hormones. Desogen, Yasmin, and even regular OTC are supposed to be good BCPs for people with troubled skin. I am also on 25mg of Spiro/day and am hoping to increase my dose to 50 or 100mg when I see my derm on the 17th. I guess patience is really a virtue when it comes to acne...unfortunately for me, the changing Ohio weather hasn't made my skin any better. Good luck to you! :angel:
