I've had acne for 14 years now. I found out I have a pituitary tumor and tons of hormone problems, so in the last few months my doctors have completely changed their approach to my acne. I'm on pretty aggressive treatment: Klaron lotion in the morning, Differin cream at night, Desogen birth control pills, and 100mg/day of spironolactone. Everyone is telling me my skin is looking great, but I don't see it!! I'm still so depressed over it and wonder if they are trying to cheer me up because of my other health problems. And I'm not sure whether to believe them or myself.
Has anyone ever gone through something similar, where even though your skin was better the way you saw yourself wasn't?
I have a dermo appt next week so I'll try to believe whatever she says.
