   pseudotumor? (General Health board)

16th January 2008
Hi, I have had migraines almost constantly for a few months now. Treated with Neurontin and Depakote. Not working. My migraines have gotten worse over the past week. I even dream and they are still there. I get a whooshing noise in my ears when I bend down. It is very aggravating. My vision is also slightly disturbed, but only a little bit, I know these are symptoms of a pseudotumor, and I am in the category that is at risk for it. I had a lumbar puncture a few months ago and my opening pressure was 22 (i think) which was slightly high, but not enough to be of too much concern. I went to urgent care last week and I had no papilledema or signs in my eye to indicate a high intracranial pressure. Could you still have pseudotumor without papilledema? I have a call into my neurologist about these symptoms, but I am supposed to go out tonight with a friend and dont want to end up in the ER or anything tonight for another LP. I am a VERY hard stick. Any advice appericiated.
